James Nichols on EU and US Forums

Welcome! James kindly stopped in this morning (so early!!) on our Warhammer Board to drop us a word regarding seperate EU forums and how Mythic will make sure information flows between both EU and US sides of the pond.

Hi guys,

Firstly, I can understand your concerns and they are technical hurdles that we have considered from the start.

Myself and the community team will be working closely with GOA to see that important information is shared and reciprocated across all forums, we'll also work with the development team and look at the different options we have for participation.

We'll also look to share the feedback both ourselves and GOA are receiving from the community and utilize the benefits of having official forums to the fullest extent.

Having separate forums allows both ourselves and GOA to better serve the support needs of our individual communities. GOA manages multiple nations, each of which is their own separate community to a degree that have their own needs unique to their environment. Ultimately we want to be able to react more swiftly should a problem arise, already that is a challenge when we have many posts coming from all corners.

We also look to continue our participation on community sites such as the Vault here and hold developer chats that are open to everyone. Managing our own forums will in fact allow us to interact with these sites in a way that's better for everyone as the staff and ourselves can work to provide more feature-rich content like interviews and occasional videos.

We're by no means looking to isolate our global community, but we want to ensure we're able to support the needs of our players to the best of our ability and that means having forum accounts tied directly to our individual account centers for ease of access and quick reference when providing support as well as moderation teams that can assist the individual language communities that make up our playerbase.

We'll see how things are going, and if there is room for improvement we'll work to close that gap. And I am always open to suggestions and constructive criticism so please drop me a line if you have any ideas to offer once we're underway."

Thanks guys
